You know, it's been a long time since I've written you a letter. I do apologize for my infidelity, you see there's just been a rift between us lately. Me and you, we were so close when I first met you. You and your little red dress you liked to call prophecies. I loved the way you looked, and especially the way we played (rawr

). And then things took a turn for the worse. You enticed me to conquer all aspects of yourself. I was okay with that until I found that ugly pair of pants you call factions. It was okay at first, I mean, I got used to it. I was never one to appreciate Asian things, but eventually I think you won me over. Things were okay again for a little bit, but then I guess you got bored with me. You went out and bought that slutty outfit of yours called nightfall. You introduced me to your new friends, your dervish and your paragon. I didn't like them at all. It really hurt my feelings, because it was like you got high and met them at a dirty (and I don't mean hip) dance club.

Where is the Guild Wars I once knew? The one full of dignity and grace? You've dirtied yourself, and now I don't know if I want you. I write you this letter to let you know that I'm calling it off. I've got a new love in my life. Her name might or might not be <insert other game>. Her hair is always a mess, and she's much more high maintenance, but at least she puts out.

Funny and creative, but I can see this getting closed soon...

All I see here is another WOW VS GW thread. In my opinion, Prophecies is the worst campaign of the three, Factions being the best and Nightfall in the middle. I honestly don't get why so many love Prophecies the most but that's beside the point.

Again, creative but I don't think we needed to hear that you're "dumping" Guild Wars for WOW. Just stop playing, it's that simple.

Although Guild Wars 2 will totally pwn WOW.

I guess I should have mentioned some random game I've never heard of before. But I figured people would relate to the WoW reference more.

I forgot about GWEN because well, GWEN means bad pve, and it has no bearing on the state of pvp.

this was awesome. i agree with you for the most part. prophesies was the best game they made. i didnt like factions (ab is terrible) buttttt i love nightfall...(whats wrong with that slutty outfit?) :P

I remember when we were both 18 and young, and you were oh so beautiful. You and me had some wild times in the bedroom and out. Remember gale lock? Yeah who doesn't...

But as things went on, you started to age and wear down. Your once explosive personality, with a wide range of emotions such as boon prot, cripshot, shock axe, final thrust sword wars, hammer wars, air spike, and such have gone away. I find you to be a shadow of your former self as you aged, as you soon tried new things like "AoD sins" and "spirit spam". What happened to you? ;(

And then you cheated on me with the mailman, and he taught you "tree" and "paragon holding". I do not like to be held that way, ma'am! But yet you kept doing it, as you kept getting older...and the emotions I grew to love turned to sinsplit, dervsmite, incoming holding, shatter sins, goth spike, blood spike, r-spike, rit-spike, shitway, spiritway...:/. You've become a harsh mistress, Guild Wars, and even after you cheated on the mailman...and the guy who took your groceries out for you...and a senator of our state...and the guy who runs the post office...I find myself unable to leave you, even if you've become an old woman, who has lost all her personality. You broke my heart and I still find myself unwilling to give myself to any other woman...;(

Still, I don't entirely agree, since I really do love the paragon class. In fact my main char is a paragon.
Factions was a disappointment for me because the game was too rigid ( as in non runnable) and the factions didn't end up being factions. Whenever I am in Kurzick area's and see people with Luxon armours and titles (which happens all the time) and vice versa, I see the word FAIL in my mind. People care about faction points but not about the factions themselves. Too bad really.
Nightfall, I did enjoy more but admittedly the starter island took way too long and the capital for map travelling between continents for high level chars should never have been on the starter island. And admittedly Nightfall was the ultimate of non sensical quest rewards (and I am not talking cash rewards). Completing an important task (quest) gives me 10 lightbringer points, but killing a few margonites in a desert in worm forms gives me much more standing with the lightbringers....certainly not for killing or questing in the Realm of Torment...I mean that would be too logical.
Still, I do like my Paragon.

On a serious note, I don't agree with the Factions and Nightfall ruining the game. Sure, aspects of them have caused aspects of the game to deteriorate, but there was nothing intrinsically inferior in them. Other issues is what have ruined the game for me.
